How inclusive days work
This calculator measures the calendar-day difference between your start and end dates, then optionally includes the start date and/or the end date as part of the range.
Exclusive vs inclusive (quick explanation)
- Exclusive (default): counts the number of day-boundaries between dates.
- Include start: adds 1 day to the exclusive result (when the range is valid).
- Include end: adds 1 day to the exclusive result (when the range is valid).
- Include both: equivalent to “inclusive range” (typically exclusive + 1).

Why can day counts differ across tools?
Some tools count exclusive ranges (day-boundaries), while others count inclusive ranges (including endpoints). This page lets you control both endpoints explicitly.
Does daylight saving time affect the result?
We normalize dates to the local day to avoid DST issues where a “day” can be 23 or 25 hours.
